Anthony Albanese’s tax cut overhaul has been “resoundingly popular” according to Fitzpatrick Advisory Principal & former Labor advisor Eamon Fitzpatrick.
Albanese’s changes to the stage three tax cuts proved controversial when it was announced last week as it represented a U-turn on an election pledge to leave them untouched.
“The reception he’s had – the reception this policy has had has actually been resoundingly popular,” Mr Fitzpatrick told Sky News Australia.
“That is not in some way to talk down the importance of trust and character.
“In fact, it was the Prime Minister who made it about trust and about character, because he’s the one who’s talking about the need to do something for middle Australia.”
